YiG™ Profile YiG™ Mission is to empower, educate and exhort teen and college student leaders to attain kingdom excellence in media. YiG Showcase™ (Youth in Gospel™) 'Rising Stars' is an initiative of Grace Media Network (GMN) to mentor and develop teen and college student leaders to pursue kingdom excellence in media. YiG™ was initially branded and introduced in 1979 as a monthly feature in The Gospel Registry News Magazine showcasing their 'look, trend & sound'. In 1992, the feature column came alive and emerged as YiG™ Choir directed and organized by Ms. Lois Steward. YiG™ further emerged on the scene in 1995 as a popular, award-winning cable access program called, as known today, YiG Showcase™ (Youth in Gospel™) 'Rising Stars' is an initiative of Grace Media Network. YiG Showcase™ was offically formed in 1992 to provide a full circle of mentorship opportunities that includes: creating platforms to showcase oratory skills and talent; explore careers in mass media & photo journalism; acquire media technology training; foster community volunteerism; interact with credible, positive personalities in media and industry who pose positive images. YiG™ MediaMentorship/Technology Initiative Broadcasts 1995-present GRACE Media Network (GMN) produced two special
broadcasts founded by executive producer SB Barber Stalling
and hosted
by YiG™

Sundays and YiG Showcase™ are both
noted ‘award-winning’ cable television and radio programs with
special guests media personalities; community youth oriented events;
national recording artists’ concerts and skating parties along with
major sponsors.
YiG™ Communty, Public & Corporate Relations training 2001, YiG™
announces 1st Annual YiG™ Golf Invitational scholarship fundraiser
to commemorate its commitment to youth empowerment, corporate
and community leadership and the exploration of careers in media. 2002, YiG™ featured in public service announcement produced for radio, televison and the Internet. Currently runs anually for October Campaign Literacy Awareness: The Right To READ® (CLA) sponsored in partnership with GMN by Paxson Communications/PAX TV and ABC affiliate KARE11Televison. YiG™ is
developing
