Reverend Devin Miller was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Minnesota in 1983. He attended the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and received his degree in Business Management with emphasis in Marketing in June 1990. In May of 2010, he received his Master of Divinity degree from Grace Theological Seminary.
Rev. Miller created and ran the Collaborative Movement for Improvement starting in 1995 and was its Executive Director until 1997 when he merged the organization with the New Beginning Center and became President.
In 2000, Rev. Miller combined the skills of the two organizations to create a new entity, The Life Skills Development Center which worked with students that were suspended from the St. Paul Public Schools. The organization closed its doors in June of 2005.
Since then, Rev. Miller has been an Independent Consultant and has worked as a High School Girls Varsity Coach, worked with re-entry men through AMICUS, Inc. and the African American Men’s Project and is currently the founder and Lead Consultant for Green Energy Inc., whose mission is to bring the green industry and economy to disadvantaged communities starting within the African American community.
Rev. Miller is an ordained Minister and Elder within the Baptist and Church Of God In Christ denominations. He serves as the Elder at Emmanuel Tabernacle COGIC under the leadership of Mark Frazier and serves as the Assistant Chief of Security – Adjutant for the Minnesota State Jurisdiction of the Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Fred W. Washington.
Rev. Miller is the husband to DonEsther (Donna) and the father of five, Dorian, Donovan, Brent, Andranita, and Tenecia. He is also the grandfather of five.
Rev. Miller believes in working with and for his community and has dedicated most of his life to the success of his people. This is not at the alienation of others because he truly believes in building the Kingdom for Jesus Christ; he just chooses to start at home first.
