Synopsis:This stage play 'My Man or My Child' is a drama/musical that will address many social issues ranging from family structure to gangs. While “My Man or My Child”, will express the importance of family structure, the difficulties and the daily struggles facing single parents; it’s focus will be on this single mother who is having to choose between being a mother to her child and a woman to her man. Therefore, this play, will illustrate how parents sometimes choose things/people over their children; the effect or impact that neglect has on the child (children) and; how drugs, gangs, and other friends could have a negative influence on these neglected children.
