Mpls, MN (March 28, 2006 - GMS) GrearCo
Music headed by Dr. James Grear will release first
project under it's newly founded GrearCo Music Label

of Nashville. Four time GRAMMY Award winning
Five Blind Boys of Alabama, Gregota
Music and GrearCo Music
have just ventured with Alliant Music Group
for a June release
of "Rare Classics", an unreleased project of the
world renowned group. The Five Blind Boys of

gospel seen. They have sold millions of records
worldwide.
The Five Blind Boys of Alabama "Rare
Classics" project features Minnesota's own

plays guitar with the group. Butler was featured in
the world renowned "Gospel At Colonus".
Clarence Fountain, the lead featured singer and
the only original member of The Blind Boys of Alabama
and Butler, along with the group, recognized
the integrity and influence of James Grear, while Vice
President of the Gospel Division at Liquid 8 Records
where he managed the famous HOBB Catalog which
featured the Five Blind Boys of Alabama. Sam was
convinced that Grear was the one to take on their
project and contacted him directly. Grear's integrity
and track-record had garnered a vote of confidence
from the group that landed this project right in the
hands of GrearCo Music.
James Grear, President of GrearCo Music
previously served as Vice President of Liquid 8
Records Gospel Division managing the famous
HOBB Catalog which featured music by
top gospel artists as The Blind Boys of

"Through this knowledge and experience, I've been
blessed to work with one of the largest legendary
names in the history of gospel music. What a blessing
to have this as a first release outside of the label
immediate family," stated Grear. The Stellar Award
nominated Nu Friends project was the actual first
release of the label, but this is the first outside
project to be signed to the label. Alliant
Records, recognized as one of the top-selling Gospel
labels, introduced James Grear & Nu Friends Live in
June 2005.
Grear was featured in Ebony Magazine (June 2005) as

Alliant Music Group stated then (June
2005), "We are
expecting great things from this already three time

achievements under their belt. It´s great to be able
to work with such talent. We are looking forward to
even greater things in the future".
Now, the Veteran Music Producer and
Executive of over 20 years, Wright is again
pronouncing a successful union. Grear humbly
resonates his admiration for Wright and the
opportunity to work together at this level of the
business. Wright has produced and as an executive,
shaped the careers of several of Gospel music’s
biggest artists including: Hezekiah Walker – 4-time
Grammy Award Winner!, Fred Hammond – Multi-
Stellar and Dove award winner with sells of over 4
million copies, and Yolanda Adams Gospel Music’s
premier female vocalist, just to name a few. Paul's
executive credits and accomplishments include

BMG/Jive), President (Harborwood/SONY-BMG/Jive)
overseeing an operational budget of over $15 million
dollars. After realizing such success for SONY-BMG,
Paul saw the opportunities that existed in ownership
and formed Alliant Music Group where he currently is
the CEO/President.
GrearCo Music is currently in negotiations with a
few more projects from other industry accomplished
artists as well as a few new comers. A new project is
forth coming from Sam Butler "The Butlers", which
features Sam, his wife Valerie and their 3
children. "God is opening doors that have been
promised for a long time. This is now the season for
the Twin Cities to flourish and move our new level of
prosperity in the music ministry."
