Mpls, MN (April 1, 2006 - GMS) Calling all youth --Troy Hudson, of the Minnesota Timberwolves and owner of Nutty Boyz Entertainment and AKA hip hop artist T-HUD will co-host Youth Rally "Hear My VOICE! R U Listening?!?".

WHERE: Augsburg College, Sateran Auditorium, Music Hall Bldg.
2211 Riverside Ave, Minneapolis, MN

Dynamite SPECIAL Guests invited include Sen Barack Obama of IL, Keith Beauchamp Film maker-The Untold Story of Emmett Till, KG of the MN Timberwolves!, Miss Black USA- Celi Dean and WHO Else?: YOU! urban, suburban, multi-cultural, immigrant and underrepresented youth across this state and the country!

FEATURING
Gospel, Holy Hip Hop, Spoken Word, Hip Hop and dance representing a variety of cultures. Performances by MOUNIQUE of Nutty Boyz Entertainment, Kyle Johnson of Perpich School of performing art, ISIS of Soulistic Playhouse, Tish of Tru Art Speaks, Toki Wright of Yo! the Movement, Santo new recording artist, Miss Black USA.Celi Dean, All Bout Stepping of Brooklyn Park, There will be an important call to involvement from several dynamic speakers like Rev. Otis Clark ,Youth Minister of Progressive Baptist Church, Pakou Hang, Mentee of Sen. Mee Moua, Melvin Carter of the City of St. Paul and more to be named!

WHY THE RALLY
Bridge the generation gap and engage youth of today. We want to encourage civic and political engagement/ participation and leadership. We will include voter registration during the rally and musical. The event will involve youth (teen, college and young adults ages 14-35 target). The entertainment will include participation from a diverse mix of faith based communities and positive hip-hop performers and spoken word artists. The goal is to get urban, suburban and under-represented youth across this state and the country engaged in the upcoming election and their future.

This event is set to be as one of the largest and most effective efforts (youth empowerment, engagement, voter registration and civic leadership) in the country. A commitment to pass the baton to future generations will take place as well.

This is a free non partisan gathering!
